Theme with Variations for oboe and harpsichord (piano)

Theme with Variations was begun in Oslo, Norway, and completed on May 17, 1966, in Evanston, Illinois. The work is dedicated to the composer's wife, Nanette. A theme and 6 short and contrasting variations are preceded by an introduction. The theme is repeated at the very end as an ending. Although conceived for oboe and harpsichord, the keyboard part may be played on a piano. The harpsichord part is complete with registration markings.
