Three Short Pieces

Three Short Pieces for Oboe Solo were completed in 1970 in Eau Claire ,Wisconsin, and performed by the composer on several concerts in Norway that same year. The work is dedicated to Kees Lahnstein, one of the composer's teachers. There are three movements, Dawn (slow), Day (fast) and Dusk (slow). The work uses primarily standard notation but will include timbral trills. The second movement, Day, is technically demanding.
