Quartet for saxophones

by Ivar Lunde, Jr.

This quartet was written for four of the composer's students while he was teaching saxophone during the 1970's at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The movements are continuous as is typical of so many of his works. An aleatoric cadenza appears just at the end of the third and final movement.

The tonal language is 12-tone based.
