Carnival March
for symphonic band

by Ivar Lunde, Jr.

The Carnival March was written for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Symphony Band and Dr. Donald George in 1972. It is a rather short work, about 5 minutes in length, but much happens during that time. The march is written in remembrance of the old fashioned circus with animals, magicians, acrobats and clowns.

In 1973 in Switzerland, the Carnival March earned 3rd Prize in the European Broadcasting Union's composition contest.
